DESCRIPTION:Our Eucharistic Mission in a Polarized World: Depolarizing Within\nThis workshop is a non-partisan platform that helps participants look within themselves to see how they may be engaging in polarizing ways with others. “Polarization” does not refer to healthy\, engaging disagreements over issues or philosophy. Rather\, it is how we regard others and talk in divisive ways about large groups of ordinary people on the other side of the political aisle. The workshop helps to develop tools of open dialogue and a better understanding of persons who hold views differing from ours. \nThe Goals for this Workshop: \n\nDevelop strategies for engaging in political discussion without demonizing the other side\nConstructively intervene in social conversations with likeminded peers\nRecognize and lessen the effects of polarization when encountered within political conversations with your likeminded circle\n\nRSVP Here\n  \n

SUMMARY:Knights of Columbus Barbeque
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, July 10\, 2024\, at 267 Bainbridge St. in Dayton. Serving starts at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. The deadline to RSVP is July 7. \nPlease join us at Bainbridge Hall for a fabulous Summer Barbecue catered by Key Ingredient Catering. The menu will include BBQ Chicken\, Cheeseburgers\, Baked Beans with Wieners\, Vegetarian Baked Beans\, Key Ingredient’s Famous Mac and cheese\, Corn on the Cob\, Salad\, Rolls and Butter\, Iced Tea/Lemonade/Coffee\, and wonderful homemade desserts. \nWe will have a 50/50 raffle; the proceeds will support Elizabeth’s New Life Center and The House of Bread. Please also donate canned or boxed food items to the SVDP food pantry. If you wish\, instead of a SVDP food donation\, we would appreciate homemade baked goods to share with our Family of Parishioners and friends that evening. \nThere are only 100 reservations available\, so please RSVP as soon as possible to Larry Clark at 937-470-3594. The cut-off for reservations is July 7.
