Each evening will begin with the Rosary\, followed by a presentation from Curtis Kneblik on the Blessed Mother’s role in our spiritual lives and her significance in our path to holiness. Together\, we will prepare to make or renew our consecration to Mary using the booklet Preparation for the Total Consecration to the Immaculate according to St. Maximilian Kolbe\, which will guide us in offering ourselves fully to our Blessed Mother before Palm Sunday. DESCRIPTION:The Complete Introduction to the Devout Life by St. Francis De Sales\nWritten over 400 years ago\, this book remains one of the most popular for laity responding to the Second Vatican Council’s universal call to holiness. Written as letters of spiritual direction to Philothea (i.e. lover of God)\, they are remarkably timeless in their practical application for all Christians today. Join us on Thursday nights beginning on November 30th at Precious Blood Church. All parishioners of all the churches are welcome. Led by Curtis Kneblik\, Director of Adult Faith Formation for (Precious Blood\, St. Rita\, St. Paul)\, the sessions will consist of short presentations with most of the time devoted to reading and group discussion. DESCRIPTION:Minister of Care Workshop with Deacon David Shea\n@St. Joseph Parish Center\, Saturday\, August 24\, 9:00-11:00 am\nThis workshop is for those wishing to participate in the ministry of bringing the Eucharist to the homebound. The workshop will be held at St. Joseph Parish Center on Saturday\, August 24\, from 9:00-11:00 am. \nBringing the Eucharist to the homebound is a wonderful way to generously serve those in our Family of Parishes who cannot attend Mass due to illness\, injury\, or age. First and foremost\, this ministry enables them to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist. It also shows them very personally how they are still an important and valued member of our family. The workshop will be conducted by Deacon David Shea\, a permanent deacon at Immaculate Heart of Mary parish in Cincinnati and recently retired Associate Professor of Homiletics at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary. The workshop is free\, but please call your parish to register.
