DESCRIPTION:El Salvador Mission Presentation \nAt St. Paul\, Sunday\, June 23\, after the 10:30 am Mass\nThanks to all who contributed to our mission to El Salvador by donating vitamins for pregnant women and their infants in Teotepeque and with cash. We were able to fill two checked bags (about 100 lbs.) with much needed vitamins and baby needs. \nPresbyter Santiago Gaynor of Precious Blood\, Susan Mcelroy of Holy Trinity and Tom Sorna of St. Paul’s would like to express our appreciation to everyone who donated\, and invite all other interested parishioners to a potluck lunch and presentation at St. Paul’s on Sunday\, June 23 after the 10:30 Mass. \nBring a Dish to Share!\nWe will provide\, chicken\, potato salad and drinks. Parishioners are invited to bring a side dish to share. We will tell you about our adventures in this small Central American country and by our stories and slideshow presentation show you how the Church is working there to support families and poor people in rural communities. It has been a long struggle but there are real signs of hope and progress now. \nWe are looking forward to seeing you after Mass on June 23. Each evening will begin with the Rosary\, followed by a presentation from Curtis Kneblik on the Blessed Mother’s role in our spiritual lives and her significance in our path to holiness. Together\, we will prepare to make or renew our consecration to Mary using the booklet Preparation for the Total Consecration to the Immaculate according to St. Maximilian Kolbe\, which will guide us in offering ourselves fully to our Blessed Mother before Palm Sunday. DESCRIPTION:The Complete Introduction to the Devout Life by St. Francis De Sales\nWritten over 400 years ago\, this book remains one of the most popular for laity responding to the Second Vatican Council’s universal call to holiness. Written as letters of spiritual direction to Philothea (i.e. lover of God)\, they are remarkably timeless in their practical application for all Christians today. Join us on Thursday nights beginning on November 30th at Precious Blood Church. All parishioners of all the churches are welcome. Led by Curtis Kneblik\, Director of Adult Faith Formation for (Precious Blood\, St. Rita\, St. Paul)\, the sessions will consist of short presentations with most of the time devoted to reading and group discussion. DESCRIPTION:Meeting at Precious Blood\, Saturday\, June 29\, 2024.\nFishers of Men meets on the last Saturday of the Month from 7:30-9:00am. The meeting begins with 25 minutes of corporate prayer\, either Mass\, Rosary\, Divine Mercy Chaplet or Liturgy of the Hours.  Prayer is followed by Breakfast\, 25 minute presentation and then group discussion.  We end promptly at 9am.\n\n\nThe location for Fishers of Men rotates on a monthly basis as follows: \n\nSt. Paul: January | April | July | October\nPrecious Blood: February | May | August | November\nSt. Rita:  March |  June |  September | December- summer meetings are temporarily moved to Precious Blood as of June 28\, 2024.
