Each evening will begin with the Rosary\, followed by a presentation from Curtis Kneblik on the Blessed Mother’s role in our spiritual lives and her significance in our path to holiness. Together\, we will prepare to make or renew our consecration to Mary using the booklet Preparation for the Total Consecration to the Immaculate according to St. Maximilian Kolbe\, which will guide us in offering ourselves fully to our Blessed Mother before Palm Sunday. SUMMARY:Notre Dame Folk Choir
DESCRIPTION:Come see the University of Notre Dame Folk Choir perform at Emmanuel Catholic Church on Thursday\, January 11\, at 7:00 p.m.\nThe choir serves the University of Notre Dame as one of its principal liturgical choirs. The sixty-plus student singers are brought together by a desire to practice\, explore\, and share their faith through music. \nThe choir sings world-class sacred music from numerous cultural traditions with a special emphasis on contemporary harmonies and rhythms. Many of the pieces have been composed and arranged by the choir’s directors and a variety of others\, from the monastery to Africa to modern America. The choir has released fourteen albums\, most recently The Passion (2022)\, which was recorded in Jerusalem. The choir has\ntraveled to five continents\, with recent tours to East Africa and the Holy Land. Come experience the sacred in sacred music.
