SUMMARY:Social Action Ministry
DESCRIPTION:Purpose: \n\nSpeak out on community concerns\nDevelop strategies and programs\nLegislative advocacy\nPerceive parish and community needs\nUpdate GATHER* members at monthly meetings\nAdvise the Unified Parish Council representative\, if needed\n\n Meetings: \nFirst Sunday of each month at 9:45 am; Holy Trinity Church Office. \n Membership: \nIncludes a parish staff member\, parishioners from any of our St. Gasper Family of Parishes who desire to get involved in social action issues.  New members are most welcome. \nThis group plans programming that deals with social issues and keeps the parish informed of the work of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati Catholic Social Action Office as well as Right to Life and Weavers of Justice issues and events. \nProjects include but not limited to: \n\nAll Right to Life events\nWeavers of Justice events\nQuarterly preparation of bagged lunches for St. Vincent de Paul shelters\nCollection of used eyeglasses for the Lions Club\nYearly Pot Luck Social with Speaker\nImpromptu after Mass gatherings\n\nContacts: \nLeslie Iannarino\, 937-901-5468 \nJanet Zak\, 937-623-9772 \n*Group Assisting To Help Evangelize Responsibly
