SUMMARY:Book Read\, Introduction to Devout Life
DESCRIPTION:We are not meeting on Thursday\, August 8\, because of a special event. \n\nThe Complete Introduction to the Devout Life by St. Francis De Sales\nWritten over 400 years ago\, this book remains one of the most popular for laity responding to the Second Vatican Council’s universal call to holiness. Written as letters of spiritual direction to Philothea (i.e. lover of God)\, they are remarkably timeless in their practical application for all Christians today. Join us on Thursday nights beginning on November 30th at Precious Blood Church. All parishioners of all the churches are welcome. Led by Curtis Kneblik\, Director of Adult Faith Formation for (Precious Blood\, St. Rita\, St. Paul)\, the sessions will consist of short presentations with most of the time devoted to reading and group discussion. RSVP’s are helpful for planning. \nAdult Faith Formation Director:\nCurtis Kneblik : 937-276-5954 ext. 2111\nckneblik@preciousbloodchurch.org

SUMMARY:The Eucharist: God's Plan in Salvation History
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special evening dedicated to deepening our understanding and love for the Eucharist as part of our ongoing Eucharistic Revival. \nAdoration of the Blessed Sacrament: The evening is highlighted by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament\, offering a peaceful time for personal prayer and reflection in the presence of Christ. \nReflections by Br. Joseph Fisher\, C.PP.S.: Brother Joseph Fisher will lead us in thoughtful reflections based on Bishop Robert Barron’s enlightening book\, This Is My Body. In his book\, Bishop Barron presents a profound analysis of the Eucharist\, exploring it as a sacred meal\, a sacrifice\, and the Real Presence of Jesus Christ. These reflections deepen our understanding of the sacrament of Jesus’s Body and Blood\, helping us to love Him more completely. \nAbout Brother Joe Fisher\, C.PP.S.: \nBrother Joe Fisher grew up on a farm outside of Wapakoneta\, Ohio. He is semi-retired after serving as the provincial treasurer for the Missionaries of the Precious Blood for 35 years. His deep faith and extensive experience with the Eucharist make him an inspiring guide for this special event. \nCome and be part of this enriching evening as we continue our journey of Eucharistic Revival\, fostering a stronger connection to our faith and community through the profound mystery of the Eucharist. \n
